The building is located in a typical urban scene of Chennai, a heterogeneous context, an ensemble comprising of skyscraper complexes, masonry cubes or even Office space. The architectural solution confronts the need for maximum commercial space along with retail space while maintaining an architectural quality within the tightness of the site.

The floating façade is cladded with a repetitive module of the fiber cement panels with vertical glass. The different shade of the panels helps to pixelate a gigantic building mass into a mild appearance while keeps stating an existence of the building at the same time. In contrast to the bold outer skin, the interior is dominated by white creating a strict boundary between inside and outside of the building.

This building fills a gap in the historic tissue along the red lines, providing transition between two existing scales. The connection of the internal spaces to the exterior is easily possible by locating the vertical opening on the facade. A customized apartment where everybody lives like nobody else. On the border of Anna Nagar’s historic neighborhood park, a new sky house has been built. 9-storey residential complex, An De maker sheer, is a new addition to the Chennai’s skyline, but is so logical that it looks as if it has been there for years. It is recognizable by its blockhod-inspired typology, boxes roofline, and vertical wood cut. The projections allow sunlight into the interiors and compliment the scale of the surrounding architecture. The contemporary translation of industrial wood architecture is discernible by the cut details in the facade, a tactile feature also made interesting for passers-by up close.

Piedmond Foothill Haven is a gated community @ Perumbakkam with 43 villas. Being a narrow compact rectangular units , the mass is broken with long pitch roofs and a rectangular stone wall . The produted balcony speakes the same language of the roofs creating a visual balance . The horizontal mass connected with the car-porch again defines the parking with no boundaries . The stone cladding in the lower level of the unit again creates an layer of intecracy to the typology where when together it creates a visual harmony to the views , reflecting the mountain behind it. These elements of design stands against the test of time , creating a emotional connection to the users . The site welcomes the nature inside the homes , thus bringing the users close to earth. The units are designed to be green buildings and have technologies like rain water harvesting , solar panels , etc. Every units has its own private landscape in them and a skylight which makes the staircase , an lightwell .The dining spaces have double heights , which helps us to define its space in terms of volume.
